What is MBTI?

MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) is a personality framework based on the psychological theory of Carl Jung. It is designed to help understand differences in how people think, perceive information, and make decisions.

MBTI categorizes personality using four dimensions, resulting in 16 main types (expanded to 64 types on this website for more detailed insights).

The Four MBTI Dimensions

  • Extraversion (E) / Introversion (I): Focus of energy — external world or inner world
  • Sensing (S) / Intuition (N): How information is processed — facts or possibilities
  • Thinking (T) / Feeling (F): Decision-making — logic or values
  • Judging (J) / Perceiving (P): Lifestyle — structured or flexible

These combinations help explain personal tendencies, strengths, challenges, and preferred ways of interacting with the world.

What MBTI Can Reveal

  • Personal thinking and behavior patterns
  • Strengths and ideal environments
  • Communication and relationship tendencies
  • Work, learning, and decision-making styles

Important Considerations

MBTI does not measure ability, intelligence, or personal worth. It is a tool for understanding preferences and tendencies, not labeling or limiting individuals.

Personality can change over time due to experience, growth, and life circumstances. Therefore, results should not be viewed as fixed or absolute.

This assessment is not intended as a medical or clinical psychological diagnosis. Please use the results as general guidance for self-reflection.

How MBTI Can Be Used

  • Self-understanding and personal development
  • Career exploration and decision-making
  • Improving teamwork and communication
  • Optimizing learning and work styles

MBTI is best used as a supportive tool to better understand yourself and make informed life choices.
